In Northern California's beautiful wine country our school is centrally located for day trips to scenic and amazing places. We are only one hour from some of California's last unspoiled coastline, where you can enjoy the beach and wildlife, go kayaking, or shop in exclusive Mendocino and eat wonderful seafood dinners. Montgomery Redwoods, one of the last old growth redwood forests in the world, is only a forty-five minute drive down a quiet and lovely country road. In the winter, if you like the snow and want to go sledding or just go play it is only an hour away. If you are in search of something closer, there are still plenty of places to explore. Of course, since we are in the wine country, there are wineries and tasting rooms to tour and enjoy just moments away. We are only five minutes from beautiful Lake Mendocino and the Russian and Eel Rivers, which offer a variety of recreational activities including swimming, hiking, water sports, and fishing. There are also hot springs nearby, but you'll have to ask us about those! Ukiah is where we get all of our supplies and it is a fully equipped town. If you are interested in a more populated experience there are restaurants, movies, music and dancing, and even golf. In the summer months there is a free concert in the park that many students often attend. |
