Birds of Potter Valley, California [p.2] [p.3] [p.4] [p.5] [p.6] [p.7]
These pages summarize my birding experience in Potter Valley, CA over the period 1971-2008. Potter Valley lies in the eastern part of Mendocino Co. against the Lake Co. line, and can be reached from Route 20 about 5 miles east of Hwy 101. This list covers all the area within the skyline visible from the center of the valley, Potter Valley Road from Route 20 into the valley, and a section of the adjacent Eel River drainage from below Van Arsdale Dam to the Lake Co. line. A description of some birding locations in Potter Valley can be found in Kris Carter's A guide to Bird Finding in Mendocino County, p. 89. -- George Chaniot
