To All Who Come to This Happy Place, Welcome!
Disneyland is your land. Here age relives fond memories of the past and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future. Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, the dreams and the hard facts which have created America...with the hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world.

Welcome to Doug's Disneyland page. Because of the graphic-intense nature of this site, I've tried to make this iteration more user-friendly for everyone, which unfortunately means giving in to my long-held dislike of frames. But it serves the ease of use to this site very well. To visit the individual lands, just click on the corresponding icon from list in the left frame. Once there, you'll see all the attractions, shops, restaurants and shows in that area. Some lands have sub-pages, just to keep things neat and tidy. You can always return to this home page or continue on a tour of the Magic Kingdom by clicking on the appropriate icon at the bottom of each page. Hope you like this overhaul of the site, and I invite your comments! Please check out the questionnaire, and give me your feedback. You might find the information you're looking for by checking out the FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS.
NEW! NEW! NEW!
July 17 was, of course, the 50th Birthday for Disneyland, the Happiest Place on Earth. Together with about 60,000 other guests, we celebrated fifty years of magic and excitement! Once again, Art Linkletter was on hand, together with Michael Eisner, the CEO of the Walt Disney Company, and Robert Iger, the incoming CEO. Also on hand was Diane Disney Miller, Walt's daughter, who with her husband Ron own and operate Silverado Vineyards near Napa, California. Diane spoke of her father, and all in all it was a wonderful and fun-filled day. The weather was great, though warm, and everyone in attendance had a great time. We camped out over by Plaza Pavilion and thanks to all of you who stopped by to say hello! Some specialty merchandise was offered up, including 5,000 special pins (so do yourself a favor, and skip e-Bay for a while and wait for the frenzy to die down...there's no reason to spend $200 for a pin that originally cost less than $12). Everyone admitted the park that day got a special pair of gold Mickey ears, so I'm sure you'll see those on e-Bay too. If you must have the special ears, when you consider the price, remember that the seller got them for FREE! Space Mountain is again open and soaring to even new heights. The entry queue has been redesigned, as has the launch platform area. The ride itself is much the same, though updated and refurbished. The launch sequence is now different, as is the end segment, and a new soundtrack is in place. You'll love it! Disneyland has never looked better, at least not in many years. I was there December 18 to 22, 2005, and everything was fresh, updated, clean, polished and painted. If you have had any doubts about the upkeep of the park in years past, put those doubts to rest and visit again. You'll be pleasantly surprised. If you'd like to know about your favorite shows, rides, and attractions this summer, contact Disneyland for up to the minute schedules, 714-781-4565 or visit the web site at disneyland.com and have a great time when you next visit Disneyland!
The July Annual Convention of the NFFC is now history! This year the convention started on Saturday, July 9 and ran through Wednesday, July 13. There were TONS of special events at the Crowne Plaza in Garden Grove (okay, just across the street from Anaheim). I was there through the run, as well as on hand for the re-opening of Space Mountain on July 15 and Disneyland's 50th on July 17! If you were a member of the NFFC, you would have been present at a special members-only event at Disneyland on July 12 with dinner, special speakers and sneak-preview of Space Mountain! That's why you should be a member! Check it out and don't wait until next year to join! Visit the NFFC's Official Site!

THIS IS NOT, REPEAT NOT, AN OFFICIAL DISNEY OR DISNEYLAND WEBSITE!
Many people have sent e-mails about lodging around the Disneyland Resort, ticket prices, reservations, special promotional packages
and tours. While I always appreciate your comments and questions, this site is not connected in any way to the Walt Disney
Company, Disneyland Resort, the Anaheim Visitors and Convention Bureau, nor any hotel, motel,
or travel agency. This site does not maintain records of availability, rates, or group discounts, and cannot help you get free or
discounted tickets to Disneyland or any lodging! Your best bet is always to contact a reputable travel agency. Having said all that,
if you're interested in lodging near Disneyland, here's a few suggestions. Please contact the hotel

Many folks have asked about collecting Disneyana. I collect only Mickey figurines. I do not maintain lists of products or values, and suggest you check e-Bay for comparable pieces. Here's a portion of my Mickey Collection.
