Doug's Mickey Collection

Yes, besides loving Disneyland, I do collect Disney stuff. Not just any Disney stuff, however, as that's a sure-fire way to go broke in a short time. I have for several years (too many actually) collected Mickey figurines and a small amount of Disneyland memorabilia. My Mickey collection is limited to three-dimensional characters of glass, brass, pewter, ceramic, china, porcelain, plastic, wood, resin, composite materials, bisque or other metals. I do not collect crystal figurines. So far as I know, with possibly one or two minor exceptions, none of the pieces shown here are currently available at the parks or at any Disney Store. The Fantasia snowglobe piece is the most notable exception, it being now available at the Parks. Here's a random series of photos of the Mickeys in my collection, and a few Disneyland pieces as well. And since a few of you have asked, none of these are for sale. Well, maybe at the right price :-)

These are not all of the items in the collection, but are a representative sample. I don't know the specific value of any of them, as that changes from time to time. But I do know that I collect because I like the pieces, not because of any value or lack of same. And of course, it's fun!
