Scout Oath
"On my honor, I will do my best, to do my duty to God and my country. And to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight."
Remember Me
To the living I am gone
To the sorrowful, I will never return
To the angry, I was cheated.
But to the happy, I am at peace
And to the faithful, I have never left.
I cannot speak, but I can listen
I cannot be seen, but I can be heard.
So, as you stand upon a shore,
Gazing at a beautiful sea-
Remember me.
As you look in awe at a mighty forest
And its grand majesty
Remember me.
Remember me in your heart,
Your thoughts and your memories
Of the times we cried,
The times we fought,
The times we laughed,
For if you always think of me,
I will never be gone from your side.

A Fireman's Prayer
When Im called to duty god
wherever flames may rage
give me the strength to save life
whatever be its age.
Help me to embrace a little child
before it is too late
or save an older person from
the horror of that fate.
Enable me to be alert
to hear the weakest shout
and quickly and efficiently
to put the fire out.
I want to fill my calling and
to give the best in me
to guard my neighbor and
protect his property.
And if to your will
I have to lose my life
bless with your protecting hand
my children and my wife.
