As you might imagine, Kathy's Garden is full of flowers, blooming from the early spring until the fall, including the blooms of various vegetables. Kathy Lewis loves a surprise, and will plant a seed just to see what the flower will look like. Her best surprise yet were the flowers of the gourd plant, pictured here, which look like they come from outer space! She likes painting pictures of vegetable blooms, because most people don't think about vegetables for there blooms. The snowpea blossoms pictured in the paintings here are only the size of your thumb, but have great details. If you have taken a look at the other pages on this site, you know of Kathy's love for every kind of flower and plant in her garden, and the joy she gets from painting them: water lilies, irises, many kinds of poppies including the Matilija, lilies, petunias, roses, vegetable blooms, snapdragons, and the redwoods, largest of them all!
