I am a computer technician and square dance caller living in the somewhat small (population approximately 15,000) town of Ukiah, CA. I say somewhat small because I've spent most of my life living just outside towns even smaller than Ukiah, so it seems pretty big to me! (And, don't get me started about people calling Davis, CA a "small town" at 30,000 while I was attending UC Davis there in the mid-eighties!)
Joe Saltel Is Coming!
Joe will be making his annual swing through Northern California from August 12 to August 19, including dances in Santa Rosa on August 14 and Ukiah on the afternoon of August 15. Our dance in Ukiah will be a "Sundae Sunday Special" -- perfect for a warm August afternoon!
There'll also be a dance in Eureka at the Vets' Hall on Monday, August 16 -- the Humboldt Hoedowners' 59th Anniversary with Joe and round dance cuer Joan Tonini, preceeded by a potluck dinner at 5:30.
In addition to that, Joe tells me that his daughter Tanya will be getting married in the Tahoe area later in August. Congratulations, Tanya!
