Stanley was born Apr. 29, 1920. His favorite hobbies were his music. Playing the trumpet and violin since a very young man, he organized a 5 piece band in the late 1930's. He sang beautifully, sounding so much like Bing Crosby that he and his band were in great demand by many of the nightclubs. His favorite song, one that came out while Stanley was courting Susan, his bride to be, was "Lilacs In The Rain"  Just before America entered WW11, Stanley at age 20 joined the U.S. Air Force. Being a Flight Engineer, he served at many U.S. bases as an Instructor.
Susan, a long time childhood friend and fiance' followed him to Cour de Elene, Id. where they were married in Aug. 1942. When the war was over, they settled in San Diego, CA. where they raised a handsome son, Michael, and a beautiful daughter Peggy. Both quite talented in their own lines of work.

We thought of you with love today,
but that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday,
and the day before that too.

We think of you with every silence,
we often speak your name.
All we have now are memories
and your pictures in a frame.

Your memories are our keepsakes
with which we'll never part.
God has you in his keeping,
we have you in our heart.

It broke our hearts to lose you,
but you did not go alone.
A part of us went with you
the day he called you home.
