Smokey...Can you please point out to the court room those persons
responsible for the rape and pillage of our national forests?

U.S. National Forest

Embezzlement

To continue under Clinton Forest Policy...

"We're going in! We've overcut the Northwest....We have the forest plans, and they say to log (your national forests) and that's what we're going to do!"

Says U.S. Forest Service chief Jack Ward Thomas.

In 1992 U.S. Taxpayers paid $69,560,000 to log Montana and Idaho national forests. Government received $860,000. Net loss Region 1 -$68,700,000.

Timber Sales Program Information Report, U.S. Forest Service, 1992

President Clinton, the U.S. Forest Service and certain members of Congress are knowingly breaking the law in order to insure their friends, in the timber industry, a maximum yield. We, the American taxpayers, are subsidizing the payback to these political campaign contributors.

The tab?

$1,000,000,000

(that's billion!)

Taxpayers dollars over the next 10 years

Plus the extinction of grizzly bears, wolves, woodland caribou, lynx, fishers, northern goshawks, bull trout and west slope cutthroat trout as well as the destruction of the largest most intact forest ecosystem in North America.

The Williams Wilderness Destruction Bill, H.R. 2473, will carry on this corrupt, insane and undemocratic policy. House Vote on Thursday, May 12, call your Representative today: (202) 225-3121
